Stretching standards, insulting traditional history
However, on the internet, there have been some negative statements, clearly revealing irresponsibility, deviation from standards, insulting traditional history, pride, and national pride.
Witnessing the joy, excitement, solidarity, attachment and unity of the people when coming to Hanoi to visit commemorative activities, at times, some streets were congested and congested, some people expressed their anger and anger on Facebooker, posting harsh and unconscious words about the policies and plans of the Party, government and functional forces, denying the value of the people's pride on the big holiday. Some have closely called the crowds of people "done in the sun" and "done in the rain" eagerly waiting to see the parade and parade as "waning the cold", as "collective crazy"... In addition, some with a prestigious intellectual also asked: Where will the country go when "people are proud of empty things"... These are requests that clearly show the standard deviation that must be condemned. Not only trampling national pride, if these accusations continue, they will become tools for hostile forces, supporting accusations against the Party, State and people.
Officials are offended by national pride
Like every country in the world, National Day September 2 is a symbol of national pride - the most important holiday in Vietnam. That milestone is associated with the aspiration for independence and freedom after decades of fighting against colonialism and imperialism. Therefore, activities towards commemorating that important event, including parades and parades, are not simply a demonstration of the strength of national defense, security, and the strength of the great national unity bloc, but also a commemorative and gratitude to the previous generation and affirmation of sovereignty... The invisible and invisible values that parades and parades bring are extremely large, uncompromisable in money.
The fact that people eagerly participate, wait, or even stand every day, every hour to watch the parade is a demonstration of patriotism, pride, and respect attached to the traditional history of the nation. Respecting people who go to see parades and parades is also respecting the past, respecting traditional history and national identity. The words "ame in love", "crazy in groups" ... that some people have used to refer to people going to see parades and parades are injurious, mocking community emotions, and are a sign of disregard for patriotism. Officials who go to see parades and parades are not only personal offenses but also offend the value they represent - specifically the national spirit, pride, and gratitude for the past. Officials are offended by national pride.
Often considering pride as insensitive and unethical
The ideal question of where the country will go when "people are proud of emptiness" is to express a very unfavorable viewpoint and view, insulting cultural and historical traditions, denying revolutionary achievements, insulting national pride. Even though our country may not be rich in material things, people still have the right to be proud of the spiritual values, history, traditions and achievements of the revolution. Those who think that what the people are proud of is the "empty Trumpet" are completely denying the historical, traditional and achievements of the country over the past 80 years.
What some people consider as holy but for genuine Vietnamese people, it has a deep meaning. From a nation that has gone through many years of war, Vietnam has risen to achieve many great and comprehensive achievements in all fields. Vietnamese people deeply realize that the August Revolution and National Day September 2 have laid the foundation for all great achievements of Vietnam. On September 2, 2025, Ba Dinh Square lit up the love, excitement and pride of the Vietnamese people. That atmosphere once again affirms the eternal vitality of the Vietnamese Revolution. That atmosphere is the message that the Vietnamese people want to affirm to all peace-loving people in the world: Vietnam is an independent, unified, and powerful country, ready to enter a new era of development. The Vietnamese people have the right to be proud of their resilience and solidarity - values that cannot be measured by material measures.
Those who say that the Vietnamese people are "proud of empty things" prove that they do not understand or deliberately do not understand the value of patriotism, independence, sacrifice... The truth is that those values are creating national identity and the spiritual strength of Vietnam in the past, present and future. National pride and self-respect do not always need to have a material basis or great achievements to be respected. Denial or disregard for patriotism, self-respect, and national pride is a manifestation of insensitivity and unethics and must be strongly condemned and removed from social life.
