On November 7, the People's Public Security Newspaper (CAND) coordinated with the People's Security Academy and the Journalists Association of the Ministry of Public Security to organize a seminar on "People's Public Security Press with improving the effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views".
Through the revolutionary stages, the People's Public Security press has proactively and effectively implemented propaganda work, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, preventing and repelling degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" internally.
Thereby, contributing to the overall achievements of the entire People's Public Security Forces in the work of firmly protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, protecting the Party, people and the regime.
To have timely articles to meet the requirements, the People's Public Security Newspaper has assigned staff and reporters to proactively research, grasp the situation, closely coordinate with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, a team of collaborators to collect information, documents to write articles published in the People's Public Security Newspaper and thematic publications.
Maintaining the section "Preventing and combating peaceful developments" in print and electronic newspapers, current events are placed in prominent positions; many articles are cited by newspapers, magazines, electronic information portals of provinces, cities, academies, universities and police units and localities, creating widespread sharing with readers.
At the seminar, delegates, experts, scientists, and leaders of press agencies discussed and evaluated the plots, methods, and operation tricks of hostile and reactionary forces, current opportunities, and new issues that need attention, especially in the lead up to the 14th National Party Congress.
The delegates evaluated the propaganda work of the press and police press in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; sharing the advantages and difficulties in collecting documents and information; on the way of presenting and expressing articles, the time of posting, the effectiveness and dissemination of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
In particular, delegates and scientists proposed solutions to innovate the content and presentation of articles on electronic newspapers, print newspapers and digital platforms.
Speaking at the seminar, Major General Pham Quang Khai - Deputy Director of the CAND Communications Department, Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper - stated: In fact, propaganda about theory, politics, and refutes is a "dry" area, selective of readers. To improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, it is necessary to have contributions from experts, scientists, and leaders of press agencies at the seminar.
