Late on October 16, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the results of the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Hong Phong chaired the meeting.
At the press conference, Mr. Pham Van Tuan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - said that after 3 days of urgent and serious work, with a spirit of solidarity, democracy and high responsibility, the Congress has completed the entire proposed program and achieved great success.
The Congress elected 69 people to the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XX; elected the Provincial Party Standing Committee, consisting of 15 people. Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term - continued to be elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term with 100% approval.

The opinions at the press conference all agreed to assess the Congress as taking place with high quality, from document preparation, organization to quality of discussion and presentation. The documents are summary, easy to read, easy to understand, clearly state limitations and propose specific, realistic directions, with correct focus and key points.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Phong pointed out 7 highlights of the Congress, emphasizing the frank recognition of limitations in the organization and implementation of the past time, therefore, "the focus in the 2025-2030 term is to implement the resolution in the direction of clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time and clear results" - Mr. Phong said.
According to him, immediately after the Congress, the Provincial Party Committee will review and amend working regulations in a more specific and effective direction; promptly remove bottlenecks affecting development, especially in project implementation and land management.
Mr. Phong said that the Congress has set very high development targets, and all leaders and delegates have expressed their determination to achieve those goals.
"The common feeling after the Congress is the belief, expectation and aspiration to contribute to building Thanh Hoa to develop more and more" - the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed.

At the press conference, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper asked whether at the end of the previous term, a number of key leaders were criminally prosecuted or retired early, which would affect the province's development progress.
Responding, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - affirmed: "The recent incidents do not affect the common goal, because the development vision is the crystallization of the intelligence of the collective, of the people, not dependence on a specific individual".
Regarding the fact that Ms. Le Ngoc Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, was elected Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union on October 14 - coincidentally with the holding of the Provincial Party Congress's adjournment session - and was elected one day later (October 15) to the Provincial Party Executive Committee, while her mother, Dinh Cam Van, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on January 18, 2025 by the People's Court of Thanh Hoa province, many reporters raised questions about personnel standards.
Mr. Le Xuan Thu - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department - said that the young cadres were prepared by the province very early, in accordance with the procedures, and with the appraisal of the Central agencies.
"The election of the Provincial Youth Union Secretary must be approved by the Central Youth Union, the time of organization depends on the general schedule of the Central Committee.
