Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that if people still lack land to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, local authorities must arrange it.

On July 9, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Central Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide chaired the 6th meeting to listen to the report on the results of the program implementation.

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister stated that we have shortened the deadline by 5 years earlier than planned (from 2030 according to the original plan to 2025), then continued to shorten the time frames (from December 31, 2025 to October 30, 2025 and finally August 31, 2025). This is a great effort of the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people.

The Prime Minister requested to resolutely complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

In particular, the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services, relatives and families of martyrs must be completed before July 27, 2025 to express deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution through practical and specific actions.

The Prime Minister commended 18 provinces and cities for completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

For 16 provinces and cities that have not yet completed this work, the Prime Minister stated that the Secretaries and Chairmen of localities (2 levels of government) must directly direct this work, considering this an important political task of great significance, with profound humanity, demonstrating the spirit and responsibility of Party members.

The Prime Minister requested to closely monitor and grasp the situation of each household, update data, strengthen inspection, urging, speaking and doing, doing for the people, for the country with the highest responsibility, sharing from the heart.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to inspect and review so that by July 24 at the latest, all families of people with revolutionary contributions must be supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Localities with temporary and dilapidated houses need to start construction of all un started houses, striving to complete and hand over to people before August 15.

Emphasizing the need to organize and implement effectively, the Prime Minister stated that the budget has been arranged and there is a full payment plan, localities must be very flexible and can advance according to regulations.

At the same time, it creates motivation, inspires, launches a movement to support, contribute in spirit, effort and material things, "whoever has something to help, whoever has merits to help others, whoever has property to help others, whoever has a lot to help a lot, whoever has little to help a little".

Along with that, mobilizing the Army, Police, Fatherland Front, Youth Union, Veterans Association, Women's Union... in the area, these forces have been directed and are always proactive and ready to participate.

In particular, if people still lack land to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, local authorities must arrange for them, because our Party and State only have the greatest goal of maintaining the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the country and taking care of the people to be prosperous and happy.

The Prime Minister also directed the Ministry of Finance to quickly handle procedures related to the budget and funding for the program; the State Bank urges banks to disburse support money according to commitments.
