On the afternoon of July 3, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to announce and hand over retirement decisions to many key leaders and officials under the management of the Standing Committee.
At the ceremony, the Politburo's Decision was announced allowing Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City (old) to retire early according to her personal wishes, starting from July 1.
Previously, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province (old), was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the new Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.
Along with that is the Decision of the Secretariat allowing Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province (old) and Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Duong Province (old), to retire early as desired from July 1.

Many other leaders have also announced their early retirement decisions, including:
- Ms. Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee (old).
- Ms. Tran Kim Yen, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai, Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (old).
- Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (old).
- Mr. Huynh Cach Mang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee (old).
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai, Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old).
- Ms. Bui Thi Sau, Member of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Ngo Thanh Son and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee (old).
- Mr. Le Minh Dung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association (old).
- Mr. Su Ngoc Anh, Secretary of the Go Vap District Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hung, Secretary of the Can Gio District Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Ma Xuan Viet, Secretary of District 6 Party Committee (old).
- Mr. Tran Hoang Danh, Secretary of District 12 Party Committee (old).
Speaking at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen expressed his deep gratitude to the cadres who voluntarily retired early, emphasizing that this is an exemplary action, for the common interests of the country and the city in the period of restructuring the organizational apparatus.
Mr. Nen affirmed that the achievements that Ho Chi Minh City has achieved today have a great contribution from retired officials. They are the ones who work and create for the future through research, consultation, and contributing to the issuance of important policies and resolutions from the Central Government to promote the citys development.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared that after three days of implementing the two-level local government model, Ho Chi Minh City has been assessed by the Central Government as one of the localities implementing it effectively and methodically.
Sending a message to the team of cadres and party members who are continuing to carry out the city's development mission, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen emphasized: "Each cadre needs to prepare his mind, review himself, take drastic action, and strive to study to be competent enough to meet new requirements and tasks".
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee especially emphasized the solidarity, sharing and unification of actions among the cadres of the three newly merged localities. According to Mr. Nen, this is an important factor to promote the spirit of dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common development of the city and the country.
