On December 11, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the People's Committee of the province has just issued a decision on the establishment of a Council to evaluate the effectiveness of application, the ability to replicate initiatives; the effectiveness of application, the scope of influence of scientific and technological topics, scientific projects, scientific and technological works in the province and nationwide as a basis for considering the award of emulation titles and forms of commendation (abbreviated as the Council for evaluating provincial initiatives and topics).
Accordingly, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in charge of science and technology is the Chairman of the Council.
The Vice Chairmen of the Council include a representative of the Department of Science and Technology (Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council) and a representative of the Department of Home Affairs in charge of emulation and rewards.
The Council members include the Chairman of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of the leaders of the Departments, branches and sectors according to the fields of initiatives and topics proposed for recognition (Council members attend meetings and give opinions on management fields); leaders of the Department of Science and Technology Management (in charge of intellectual property), Department of Science and Technology.
This Decision replaces Decision No. 957/QD-UBND dated June 5, 2023 of the Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of the Provincial Initiative Council.
It is known that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong is currently Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee in charge of science and technology.
