Visiting and sending New Year greetings to the people, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra shared many important information about the country's development situation in the new development stage.
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that in 2025, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, our country has completed all 15/15 basic socio-economic development targets. The macroeconomy has been maintained stable, inflation has been controlled; economic growth reached 8.02% - the highest level ever.
Three strategic breakthroughs continue to be strongly implemented, creating a new face and driving force for the country's development, especially breakthroughs in infrastructure. The transportation system is synchronously invested with over 3,000 km of highways; information technology, cultural, and educational infrastructure continues to be upgraded; many key national projects are accelerated, opening up new development space.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the revolution to arrange and streamline the organizational structure of the political system is one of the biggest imprints in modern history, receiving high consensus and response from cadres, party members and people.
Sharing with the people, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed Lao Cai as a vivid example of the spirit of overcoming difficulties, self-reliance, and self-strengthening. After arranging administrative units, the province faces many challenges due to natural disasters, storms, floods, and complex climate change, which seriously affect people's lives.




However, with the efforts of the entire political system, Lao Cai has achieved many very remarkable results. Economic growth in 2025 reached 8.14%, ranking second in the Midlands and Northern Mountains region; budget revenue reached about 21.6 trillion VND - the highest level ever.
Highly appreciating the careful preparation of Lao Cai province for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister said that with resources of over 40 billion VND and tens of thousands of gifts, the province has fully cared for poor households, policy families, people with meritorious services, and the elderly, ensuring that all people can celebrate Tet fully and warmly.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and the working delegation presented 2,800 Tet gifts, worth 4 billion VND, to policy families, people with meritorious services, elderly people, and poor households in Lao Cai province; and directly presented meaningful gifts to households in Yen Bai ward, Bat Xat commune, and Trinh Tuong commune.
