Rapid and sustainable development from the heroic traditional foundation
On July 21, the Ban Thach Ward Party Congress, Da Nang City officially opened. This is a new ward established on the basis of merging 3 communes and central wards of the old Quang Nam province including: Tan Thanh, Hoa Thuan and Tam Thang.
Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat and Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Cam Tu highly appreciated the preparation work of the Ban Thach Ward Party Committee, especially the spirit of openness and determination to innovation expressed in the political report. He emphasized that Ban Thach is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, once awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, and needs to promote internal strength and tradition to develop worthyly.
Mr. Tran Cam Tu suggested that the locality must identify three core goals: stability - development - improving people's lives. In particular, shaping development according to the new urban space is an urgent requirement. With the advantage of being central in the region and rich economic potential, Ban Thach needs to become a model of urban development associated with rapid, sustainable, and focused growth.
The Standing Secretariat requested the ward to promote industrial, trade and service development, transform the urban agricultural model towards high technology; invest in modern infrastructure, urban beautification; encourage the private economy to become an important growth driver.
In particular, it is necessary to preserve and promote cultural and historical values such as Ky Anh and Van Thanh - Khong Mieu trees associated with tourism development; better care for policy families, meritorious people, poor households and ensure social security.
Building a team of police officers who are good at their profession
Mr. Tran Cam Tu emphasized the need to build a "creating and serving" government, improve the quality of ward-level cadres - those who need to have a firm grasp of their expertise, be good at handling situations, be close to the people, close to the people and ready to serve the people.
The Standing Committee of the Secretariat also requested the City Party Committee, the People's Committee of Da Nang City and departments and branches to increase support and remove difficulties for communes and wards, especially in the initial stage of implementing the 2-level local government model.
With a system of industrial parks such as Tam Thang, Tam Thang expansion, Thuan Yen..., Ban Thach ward currently creates jobs for nearly 18,000 workers, attracting hundreds of millions of USD in investment capital, creating a solid foundation for economic growth.
The Standing Secretariat expressed its hope: "Ban Thach Ward will become a model locality for urbanization, comprehensive development and increasingly better service for the people".
