The Government issued Decree No. 256/2026/ND-CP regulating badges, insignia, uniforms and signs of tax officials.
The Decree details Clause 2, Article 9 of the Law on Tax Administration No. 108/2025/QH15 on badges, insignia, uniforms, and signs of tax officials, including: badge designs, insignia, uniforms and signs of tax officials; standards, equipment norms, issuance regimes, management and use of badges, insignia, uniforms and signs of tax officials.
Regarding tax official badges, the Decree stipulates that tax official badges are round, 3.8cm in diameter (for men), 2.8cm (for women) made of metal.
The front of the foundation is painted red, surrounded by borders; on both sides there are two rice ears; upper 1/3 has a 5-pointed star (with sunken rays radiating), lower 1/3 has a wheel shape, in the middle there is a gold-plated embossed "State Tax" and a ribbon at the bottom.
The tax official badge is attached to the front of the pi-pi helmet (for men) and soft helmet (for women) with a belt and lace.
The Decree stipulates that the title of tax official shows the position and position of officials in tax authorities at all levels, attached to the shoulders of tax officials' uniforms, rectangular, made of knitted tape with patterns, surrounded by edges, border 3mm wide, one end sharply beveled, with dimensions 48mm wide, 125mm long, sharp head deflection 15mm.
The leadership badge of the Tax Department has an orange-yellow background, surrounded by red trim. From the top of the badge (the pointed end) to the bottom of the badge (the rectangular top), there are successive badge buttons, leadership badge stars, and badge symbols.
Leadership badges of Boards, Sub-departments, Provincial and City Tax Departments and equivalents have a light yellow background, surrounded by black trim. From the top of the badge (the pointed end) to the bottom of the badge (the rectangular top), there are badge buttons, leadership badge stars, badge symbols and badge lines (3 horizontal lines) respectively.
Leadership titles at the department level, base tax under provincial and city tax and equivalents have a light yellow background, surrounded by black trim.
From the top of the badge (the pointed end) to the bottom of the badge (the rectangular end), there are badge buttons, leadership badge stars, badge symbols and badge lines (2 horizontal lines) respectively.
The tax official's badge has a light yellow background, surrounded by black trim. From the top of the badge (slanted end) to the bottom of the badge (rectangular end), there are badge buttons, badge symbols and badge lines (horizontal "<" line).
The Decree stipulates that tax officials' uniforms include: ceremonial attire, spring-summer clothes, autumn-winter clothes, shirts worn inside winter ceremonial attire, autumn-winter shirts, cold-resistant shirts, hats, shoes, belts, ties, socks, pine branches.
