This morning (October 26), in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House Truth organized a book launching ceremony for the book "Vietnamese people in the new era" by Associate Professor, Journalist Nguyen Hong Vinh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, former Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
With more than 300 pages, the book "Vietnamese People in the New Era" collects typical articles, articles, and interviews of authors in recent years, carefully edited by the National Political Publishing House Truth. The book was born in the context that the entire Party, people, and army are moving towards the 14th National Congress.
Speaking at the book launching ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - stated that our Party affirmed that culture is the endogenous strength, the foundation of national and human development is the center of development, the driving force of innovation, the highest goal of all development policies and strategies in the era of national growth.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, in the book, many articles focus on researching and analyzing the Party's guidelines and policies on culture to determine the purpose, importance, and role of culture in society, on that basis, planning from strategic issues as well as specific issues of caring for human development in health, education, social security... towards the goal of making people and making people live in prosperity, prosperity, and happiness.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - said that the book's launch is not only a cultural event, but also a profound and timely theoretical contribution, contributing to arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
"The message of taking Vietnamese culture and people as the foundation for our nation to grow strongly has spread widely, arousing national pride, solidarity and endogenous strength of every Vietnamese person" - Mr. Le Quoc Minh said.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director, Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth - said that the topic that the book mentioned is a big problem, both strategic, long-term and profoundly topical.
The book is divided into three parts. Part 1: "Show the present, open the future"; Part 2: "Vietnamese revolutionary press accompanies the history of the nation"; Part 3: "Love for people and the reason of living in Vietnam".
The three parts of the book, although independent in theme, are closely connected by a continuous red thread - that is the great belief in the Vietnamese people, in the qualities and endogenous strength of the nation in the journey to the future.
