Recently, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Secretary General of the National Assembly, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, National Assembly Delegations, National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly Office and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals have urgently prepared the contents to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision at the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Before the opening of the Session, at 7:15 a.m., leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
At 8:00 a.m., the National Assembly held a preparatory session. At the session, National Assembly deputies listened to the speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; listen to National Assembly Standing Committee member Le Quang Manh present a report on the reception, explanation, and revision of the expected program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
At 9:00 a.m. the same day, the National Assembly held the opening session of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House. The opening session was broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV1), Voice of Vietnam (VOV1).
The session's working time is expected to be 40 days. This is a session with many important contents, the National Assembly has just conducted the contents of the regular session; at the same time, summarized the term of the 15th term.
This session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents (49 draft laws, 4 resolutions on legislative work; 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues).
Regarding legislative work, the National Assembly will consider and approve 49 laws and 4 resolutions under legislative work. This is the last session and has the largest number of legislative contents since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term.
Regarding the consideration and decision on important issues of the country, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues.
Accordingly, it will consider and decide on socio-economic issues and state budget; consider and approve the Resolution of the National Assembly on the results of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 takes effect".
The National Assembly will also review and discuss the summary report on the implementation of Government members, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, State Auditor General for the Resolution of the National Assembly for the 14th and 15th terms on thematic supervision and questioning; discuss the draft report on the work of the 15th term of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly reviewed the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of: President, Government, National Assembly Standing Committee, Ethnic Council, National Assembly Committees, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, State Audit. Consider and approve the Resolution on summarizing the work for the 2021-2026 term.
Also at the session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on many other important contents.
