With the message "a window looking to Vietnam", the National Foreign Affairs Television channel - Vietnam Today will officially air on September 7, 2025.

This morning (8.22), Vietnam Television (VTV) officially announced the Introduction Ceremony of Vietnam Today National Foreign Television Channel. Vietnam's first foreign television channel in English will officially air on September 7, 2025.

Vietnam Today is a wheel view of Vietnam, bringing to the global audience an objective and vivid picture of Vietnam today: from news, politics, economics, culture, tourism, environment to innovation and digital transformation.

The canal also introduces the typical values, traditional identity and modern appearance of the country, reflecting Vietnam's journey to development and deep integration with the world.

Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of VTV - said that 55 years ago, on September 7, 1970, the first Television program of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was broadcast to convey information to the people in the country.

55 years later, Vietnam Television has increasingly grown to become a leading multi- media press agency and continues to carry out Vietnam's information communication mission to global audiences through a national Foreign Affairs TV channel called Vietnam Today.

After many years of nurturing and implementing, today we would like to inform you that: Vietnam Television will launch Vietnam Today Foreign Television channel on September 7. This is the first national foreign television channel to broadcast 24/7 mainly in English, integrating multilingual subtitles, present on modern media platforms, with the goal of global coverage" - Mr. Do Duc Hoang said.

Vietnam Today channel is built on 3 core principles: Associate information, sharp content and creative communication. The channel brings multi-dimensional information about the country in many fields. The TV shows and digital content products of Vietnam Today channel are invested in quality in both content and presentation, suitable for the tastes of international audiences.

Vietnam Today broadcasts 24/7 in English, applying technology to provide multilingual sub headings, suitable for each country and territory where the channel is broadcast.
