Streamlining the organization of the National Assembly agencies

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man established a Steering Committee on streamlining the apparatus at National Assembly agencies, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the National Assembly Office.

On November 18, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed Resolution No. 1297/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee establishing a Steering Committee to review the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently" at the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the National Assembly Office.

Accordingly, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is the Head of the Steering Committee.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh is the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and other Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, including Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, Tran Quang Phuong are Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee. Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee are members of the Steering Committee.

According to the Resolution, the Steering Committee has the following tasks:

Directing the summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient" in conjunction with the implementation results of Resolution No. 56/2017/QH14 dated November 24, 2017 of the National Assembly on continuing to reform the organization of the state administrative apparatus to be streamlined, effective and efficient;

Propose innovation and reorganization of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently at the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the National Assembly Office, report to the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Party Delegation to synthesize, and report to the Central Steering Committee to submit to the Politburo and the 13th Party Central Committee.

Assign tasks to members of the Steering Committee and develop and issue working regulations and implementation plans.

The Delegation Work Committee is the Standing Body of the Steering Committee.

The working regime of the Steering Committee is as follows:

Steering Committee members perform tasks as assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee.

Assisting the Steering Committee is an Editorial Board established by the decision of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee is allowed to use the seal of the National Assembly Standing Committee for its work;

The Steering Committee works part-time.

On November 18, 2024, the Steering Committee issued several key documents, including the decision to establish the Editorial Team, the working regulations of the Steering Committee, the notification on the assignment of tasks to its members, and the plan to review the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017, by the 12th Central Committee.

On the same day, the standing agency of the Steering Committee issued a document on the implementation of the summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW to the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the National Assembly Office.
