On November 22, Dak Lak province held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Dak Lak province's socio-economic achievements to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the province's founding; 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army; 35th anniversary of National Defense Day".
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said: "The 120-year journey is full of difficulties and challenges, but with the determination of the Party Committee, the government and all the people, Dak Lak province is growing more and more".
From a wild and difficult land, Dak Lak province has grown strongly, becoming one of the developed provinces of the Central Highlands region and the whole country.
The average growth rate of the province in the past 10 years reached 6.15%/year, the total state budget revenue in the area increased by an average of 10.2%/year.
In particular, in the period 2015 - 2024, Dak Lak attracted more than 400 projects, with a total registered investment capital of about 98,000 billion VND.
Infrastructure is also gradually synchronized with many key projects, especially traffic connecting regions and areas, contributing to the increasingly renewed, spacious, modern appearance and creating momentum for economic and social development.
According to Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha, the exhibition aims to review the heroic tradition of the nation. At the same time, it affirms the core role of the army in advising, building and consolidating a strong national defense.
The exhibition is also an opportunity for the young generation to understand more about the rich and unique culture of their homeland, thereby preserving and promoting it together in the new era.
The exhibition space on this occasion has images, documents, and artifacts about Dak Lak's history through the ages, and the outstanding and comprehensive achievements over 120 years of formation and development of the province.
In particular, the exhibition displays the Thac Hai Stone Drill Collection, the province's first national treasure, with a thematic display "Thac Hai - Heritage on the Ea H'leo River".
The exhibition runs from now until the end of December 2024.
