According to the announcement, the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods has not fully reflected the actual situation.
The situation of smuggled goods and illegal transportation of goods across the border is still complicated, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, goods violating intellectual property rights are still deeply disseminated in the country, publicly sold, increasing on a large scale, for a long time, directly affecting people's health.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested strict implementation of regulations on fighting, preventing and repelling degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, preventing and combating corruption and negativity, implementing the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods right within the functional forces (policers, Customs, Market Management, Border Guard, Coast Guard, Tax...); strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law.
Develop programs, plans and solutions in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in accordance with local developments and task requirements.
In particular, focus on fighting and effectively preventing illegal drug trafficking and transportation, smuggling, illegal transportation of gold, foreign currency, counterfeit goods from Vietnam for export to other countries; production and trading of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods violating intellectual property.
The Deputy Prime Minister directs to strengthen inspection and supervision of ministries and branches on the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods and the task force; educate cadres and civil servants to improve their professional qualifications, skills, awareness, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, do not assist, protect, or cover up smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
Commending and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding and outstanding achievements to encourage and motivate the spirit, spread good people and good deeds in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
Develop a project to improve capacity and increase investment in purchasing modern means and equipment to improve the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, ensuring safety for officers, soldiers, and specialized forces in performing their duties.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested to supervise and inspect the implementation of plans on combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods by road, sea, air and in the e-commerce environment, especially in border areas, border gates and key inland areas.
Proactively establish interdisciplinary teams to inspect and supervise compliance with legal regulations of enterprises, organizations and individuals to promptly detect and handle subjects with smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
