On April 1, at the headquarters of the Presidential Office, President Luong Cuong chaired a regular working meeting with the Presidential Office to assess the implementation of tasks in the past time and deploy work directions for the coming time. Also attending were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
The report of the representative of the leadership of the Presidential Office at the meeting stated that in March, under the close direction of the President and Vice President, the Presidential Office proactively and drastically deployed comprehensive tasks, effectively serving the activities of State leaders in all fields.
The work of advising and serving tasks assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat was carried out closely and in accordance with requirements; the work of serving the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was deployed methodically and on schedule.
In the fields of administration, justice, national defense - security and foreign affairs, the Office has advised and submitted to the President for consideration and decision many important contents; advised on high-level foreign affairs activities, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position.
Notably, the relocation of the headquarters to 12 Ngo Quyen (Hanoi) was implemented with a large volume and high requirements, but was completed on schedule, ensuring absolute safety and not interrupting the agency's operations.
Concluding his speech, President Luong Cuong acknowledged and praised the results that the Presidential Office has achieved in the past time; emphasizing that the Office has promoted the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, and flexibility, making important contributions to the implementation of the common tasks of the State leaders.
Regarding tasks in the coming time, the President requested the Presidential Office to continue to improve the quality of research, advice, and synthesis; proactively prepare good content and documents to serve meetings of key leaders, the Politburo, the Secretariat and activities according to the work program.
President Luong Cuong emphasized the requirement to focus on serving well the first session of the 16th National Assembly, the work of consolidating the State apparatus; promptly advising on decisions on personnel work, emulation and commendation, amnesty, nationality, international treaties and judicial fields.
The President requested the Office to continue to firmly grasp its functions and tasks, promote its role as a general and strategic advisory body; maintain high solidarity and unity within the internal ranks; closely coordinate with relevant agencies in performing tasks; closely monitor the domestic and international situation, promptly advise and serve the State leaders to effectively handle arising issues.
Along with that, the Office needs to continue to promote digital transformation, improve the efficiency of organizational and administrative work, ensure material and technical conditions, and operate the new working headquarters smoothly, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
