Names of 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam from 12.6.2025

After the arrangement, our country has 34 provinces and cities. The new administrative units are expected to start operating from July 1, 2025.

On June 12, the National Assembly officially passed a Resolution of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025.

Accordingly, from today (September 12), the whole country has 34 provincial-level administrative units (ADUs), including 06 centrally-run cities and 28 provinces. Of which, 23 newly formed administrative units were after the reorganization.
