On June 12, the National Assembly officially passed a Resolution of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025.
Accordingly, from today (September 12), the whole country has 34 provincial-level administrative units (ADUs), including 06 centrally-run cities and 28 provinces. Of which, 23 newly formed administrative units were after the reorganization.

After the Resolution is passed, localities will carry out the handover work, prepare necessary conditions, ensure that local authorities in the administrative units formed after the arrangement can soon officially start operating according to the general plan of the Central Government (perhaps from July 1, 2025).
