On July 27, information from the National Assembly Office said that Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 302/NQ-UBTVQH16 on the establishment of the Digital Transformation Department.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to establish the Digital Transformation Department as a type 2 Department directly under the National Assembly Office.
The Department of Digital Transformation has the function and task of researching and advising to assist the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office in unifying the management and organization of digital transformation work, building and developing the digital ecosystem, scientific management and innovation.
At the same time, research and apply artificial intelligence, ensure network security, information safety and security, scientific management, data management, implement source information, post information and images to serve the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees and the National Assembly Office.
In addition, advising and assisting in performing a number of specific tasks assigned by the National Assembly's Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
The Digital Transformation Department has its own seal and account as prescribed.
The organizational structure of the Department of Digital Transformation has 3 departments and 2 non-business units.
The Resolution clearly states that the National Assembly Office advises the National Assembly Standing Committee to amend and supplement Resolution No. 74/2025/UBTVQH15 dated March 7, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the National Assembly Office.
