Agreeing with the directions and key tasks in the inspection work in 2026, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau requested the National Defense Inspectorate sector to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, especially the Directives, Resolutions, and documents of the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense on inspection work;

Inspection organizations at all levels must truly be effective advisory and assisting agencies for Party committees and commanders to perform inspection functions, resolve complaints and denunciations and prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in accordance with the law; Contributing actively to stabilizing the political security situation, social order and safety in localities and building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People's Army.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau noted that inspection work needs to shift its focus from "handling violations" to "preventing early and remotely" combining administrative inspection with specialized inspection, between field inspection and digital data analysis. All inspection activities must be objective, fair, transparent, and adhere to the motto "no forbidden zones, no exceptions, but also not extreme or formal".
At the same time, through inspection and examination results, it is necessary to summarize practice, detect problems, and propose to the Ministry of National Defense and competent authorities to improve institutions, policies, and laws, and detect and overcome legal loopholes and loopholes in state management and law enforcement.

The entire sector has conducted 107 inspections, 63 examinations for 319 agencies and units; Advised on good resolution of petitions, complaints and denunciations, received and processed, and resolved 2,879 petitions of all kinds.
