On the afternoon of March 31, at the Government Headquarters, Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 26 of the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a Conference to approve the draft inspection and supervision report for 2026 of the Politburo and the Secretariat for the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee.
Presiding over the conference were Party Secretary of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Head of Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 26.
At the conference, delegates listened to the draft and discussed to supplement, complete and approve the draft Report on the results of inspection and supervision of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee in implementing Directive No. 01-CT/TW, dated January 23, 2026 of the Politburo on researching, studying, thoroughly grasping, propagating and implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress; Directive No. 46-CT/TW, dated May 16, 2025 of the Politburo on leading the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Speaking at the conference, the Prime Minister requested the Inspection and Supervision Delegation to continue to closely coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to supplement content, update data, and complete reports, with the goal of correctly assessing the nature; in particular, the evaluation work must highlight the implementation process and ultimately the implementation results.
Accepting the recommendations of the Inspection Delegation, the Prime Minister proposed that along with evaluating the implementation of Directive No. 01-CT/TW and Directive No. 46-CT/TW, in the inspection and supervision report, it is necessary to supplement proposals to consolidate the organizational structure of the Standing Committee, Standing Board and assisting agencies of the Government Party Committee, as well as the issue of managing party members, especially party members of state-owned enterprises at the grassroots level.
Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi highly appreciated the preparation and effective coordination of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee and the assisting agencies of the Government Party Committee throughout the inspection and supervision process.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, during the supervision process, the inspection and supervision delegation found that the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee has led, directed, organized research, study, thoroughly grasped, propagated and implemented the Resolution of the 14th National Congress; led the implementation of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels methodically, drastically, and effectively.
Recording the opinions and recommendations, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi requested Inspection and Supervision Team No. 26 to summarize and absorb the opinions, and complete the report; requested the Inspection and Supervision Team, as well as the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to continue to coordinate and prepare to implement phase 2 of the inspection program with contents on:
The organization and operation of agencies and units in localities after the operation of the 2-level local government;
Tasks and solutions to ensure the implementation of the growth target in the period 2026-2030 from 10% or more;
The leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation, national digital transformation and related documents.
