According to VNA, on September 1, in Tianjin (China), on the occasion of attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Malaysian Prime Minister Ibrahim Anwar, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, General Secretary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Kao Kim Hourn.
At the meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Hun Senate for attending the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam, demonstrating the close relationship and solidarity between the two countries.
The Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen political trust, promote bilateral cooperation mechanisms; encourage and facilitate investment and business activities of enterprises of the two countries, strive to achieve a trade turnover of 20 billion USD in the coming time; commit to promote traffic connectivity, simplify border transportation procedures, strengthen tourism cooperation...
The two sides agreed to promote the completion of the Vietnam - Cambodia land border marking, soon complete the Phnom Penh - Bavet expressway and inaugurate the Tan Nam - Meun Chey common border gate; and discuss regional and world issues of mutual concern.
During a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Ibrahim Anwar
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Malaysia's efforts as ASEAN Chair in resolving common issues in the region; contributing to strengthening solidarity and enhancing ASEAN's prestige and central role; hoping that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in the fields of Halal, rice trade, maritime cooperation, etc.

The Malaysian Prime Minister suggested that the two countries promote fisheries cooperation; expressed his desire to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the ASEAN Summit in October.

The two leaders emphasized that Vietnam and India still have much room for cooperation to make the relationship increasingly deepen, practical and effective; agreed to create a breakthrough in economic, trade and investment cooperation, making the most of the socio-economic advantages and market potential of the two sides; making defense and security cooperation a strategic focus of the relationship; further expanding scientific and technological cooperation to become a key area of cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed Vietnam's strong commitment to multilateralism and order based on international law and the United Nations Charter; emphasized Vietnam's policy of fully and seriously implementing its obligations in responding to climate change; and suggested that the United Nations support ASEAN's central role in the regional structure and further promote cooperation with ASEAN. The Prime Minister also expressed his hope that General Secretary Antonio Guterres will visit Hanoi to attend the Opening Ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime in Hanoi next October.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam will, together with other countries, be determined to successfully implement the ASEAN Community Vision 2045; expressed confidence that under the guidance of the General Secretary, the Secretariat will continue to effectively accompany and support Vietnam and member countries to effectively take advantage of the benefits of the integration process.
