On the morning of January 7, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference with provinces and cities in the Central region on the situation of deploying the "Quang Trung Campaign" to quickly rebuild and repair houses for households whose houses were damaged by storms and floods in the Central region.
Also attending were Members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga.
Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, ministries, branches, and localities continue to promote the "Quang Trung Campaign". To date, 1,046/1,597 new houses have been completed for people in localities, reaching 65.5%. The remaining newly built houses have all been started, and the construction progress has reached from 60 to more than 80% of the volume.
Most localities commit to completing the reconstruction of houses for people before and on January 15. A small number of households in Lam Dong and Dak Lak have a need to build larger-scale houses, so it is slower, but it is still completed before the 14th Party Congress and before the Lunar New Year.
The Ministry of National Defense has directed units to mobilize 249,497 turns of officers, soldiers and self-defense militia, 8,935 turns of vehicles of all kinds to coordinate with localities to support people in building 619 new houses that collapsed, collapsed, and were swept away; repairing 363 damaged houses.
The Ministry of Public Security mobilized more than 11,000 turns of officers and soldiers to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; supported 50 million VND/new house built in localities (Ha Tinh alone 1 billion VND, 100 million VND/house); mobilized resources to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters with a total value of more than 120 billion VND; presided over the construction of 420 new houses that were completely collapsed.
Concluding the conference, the Prime Minister requested the entire local political system to mobilize maximum forces, especially the Army, Police, and socio-political organizations to contribute and join hands "quickly, even faster", with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 crews", "overcoming the sun, winning the rain, not losing to the weather"... to "Quang Trung Campaign" complete its goals correctly, for the joy and happiness of the people.
Along with building houses for people, the Prime Minister requested localities to urgently restore electricity, water, telecommunications wave, environmental sanitation, and transportation infrastructure; especially review the essential needs of people, especially equipment such as TVs, refrigerators...
From there, mobilize resources, call for support and assistance so that all people have conditions to enjoy the joyful atmosphere, follow the 14th Party Congress; enjoy the achievements of the Party and State brought to the people, as well as welcome a warm, safe and healthy Lunar New Year.
The Prime Minister proposed to support 34,759 households in 8 central provinces and cities whose houses had to be repaired with 5 million VND each and support nearly 5,000 households whose houses were collapsed or swept away and had to be rebuilt nationwide from the beginning of the year to now, with 10 million VND each for households to have funds to restore production and purchase essential goods and equipment.
In addition to the "Quang Trung Campaign" scope, the Prime Minister requested the remaining provinces and cities across the country to continue to review households suffering housing damage due to natural disasters and storms in recent times.
In the spirit of "mutual affection", localities balance budgets and mobilize social resources to immediately support essential household items such as TVs, refrigerators... for households that are still lacking, ensuring that all people enjoy them as has been done in 8 provinces and cities in the Quang Trung Campaign.
