South Africa is the final leg of the working trip of Politburo member, Prime Minister and Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to Kuwait and Algeria, attending the G20 Summit and bilateral activities in South Africa from 16-24 November, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of the Republic of Algeria Sifi Ghrieb and President of the South African Republic Cyril Ramaphosa - G20 Chair 2025.
The business trip was a great success. The G20 Summit approved a Joint Statement by leaders and transferred the role of G20 Chair from South Africa to the US.

The participation of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has contributed positively to the overall success of the conference, while highlighting the image of a dynamic, strong, proactive Vietnam that actively contributes to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The working trip has helped strengthen political trust, further deepen friendship, promote multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and South Africa, Kuwait, and Algeria in particular, as well as countries in the Middle East and Africa in general; promote the signing of agreements and arrangements to create a legal framework for bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and areas with strengths in accordance with each side's needs, and strengthen cooperation at international organizations and multilateral forums.
In particular, during the visit, Vietnam upgraded its relations to a Strategic Partnership with Algeria and South Africa.
