The Vietnam – Slovakia Business Forum will take place on the afternoon of April 13, 2026, co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the Slovak Embassy in Vietnam and the Slovak Investment and Trade Promotion Agency (SARIO).

The Vietnam - Slovakia Business Forum was attended and directed by Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico, along with the participation of leaders of ministries, sectors, trade promotion organizations and more than 400 businesses from the two countries.

Creating favorable conditions for Slovakian businesses
Speaking at the Forum, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung assessed this as a particularly important event, after Vietnam - Slovakia upgraded relations to a Strategic Partnership. The large participation of the business community of the two countries shows the increasing interest in strengthening economic, trade and investment cooperation, for the common benefit of the two countries, as well as contributing to the development of the region and the world.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized that the important thing is not only the agreements reached, but also the effective implementation, turning commitments into specific actions, bringing practical results for the development of the two countries. The governments of the two countries are committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for the business communities of the two sides to implement trade and investment cooperation activities.
Vietnam always welcomes and creates the most favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Slovak businesses, to cooperate and invest long-term in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Government is committed to accompanying and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of foreign investors to Vietnam," Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized the key cooperation orientation in the coming time between Vietnam and Slovakia.
First, promote cooperation in the fields of processing, manufacturing and high technology, especially industries in which Slovakia has strengths such as automobile industry, precision engineering, and supporting industries.
Second, strengthen cooperation in the field of energy, green transformation, and sustainable development.
Third, cooperation in logistics and supply chain connectivity, effectively taking advantage of free trade agreements such as EVFTA to expand markets, promoting goods connectivity between Vietnam and the EU market through Slovakia and Slovakian goods into ASEAN.
Fourth, promote cooperation in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, information technology, artificial intelligence and e-commerce.
Fifth, strengthen cooperation in education, training, and development of high-quality human resources, especially engineers and technology experts.
7 memorandums of understanding were awarded
The highlight of the Forum is the Exchange of Memorandums of Understanding on Cooperation (MOU) between businesses of the two countries, witnessed by the two Prime Ministers and high-level delegates.
A total of 7 memorandums of understanding have been awarded, focusing on many important areas such as manufacturing industry, technology, healthcare, finance, infrastructure, real estate, environment and industrial park development. These agreements are expected to create new momentum for bilateral economic cooperation, while opening up specific investment opportunities for businesses of both sides in each market.

After the opening session, the Forum continued with a trade and investment promotion session, including in-depth presentations on the business environment in Slovakia and Vietnam, performed by representatives of SARIO and VCCI. The content focused on providing updated information on policies, investment opportunities, as well as cooperation orientations in potential fields.
In addition, the direct trade connection (B2B) session is organized to create conditions for businesses of the two countries to meet, exchange and find suitable partners, contributing to promoting the realization of cooperation opportunities established at the Forum.
