On April 16, within the framework of the 4th P4G Summit, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a High-level Discussion Session with the theme "Sustainable green transformation, taking people as the center".
In his opening speech at the High-level Discussion Session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made a number of specific proposals to promote the process of sustainable and inclusive green transformation. As a platform to promote public-private cooperation, connect governments, businesses and socio-political organizations, P4G needs to continue providing financial and technical support in the field of climate change prevention, developing solutions to minimize impacts and respond to climate change.
Speaking in a recorded message sent to the discussion session, French President Emmanuel Macron highly appreciated P4G's activities; Vietnam's proactiveness and positivity in sustainable development, and thanked Vietnam for its close coordination in implementing JETP and the Paris Agreement initiative for people and the planet.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof shared the similarities in geographical characteristics and appreciated the long-standing cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands, including the green sector. The Dutch Prime Minister affirmed that determination, long-term vision, and public-private cooperation are the keys to simultaneously promoting economic growth and sustainable development.

At the discussion session, delegates all affirmed the importance of international cooperation; acknowledged P4G's contributions in enhancing cooperation, mobilizing resources for green growth and sustainable development, especially highly appreciating Vietnam's organization of the P4G Summit at the present time. Many opinions shared on development experience, efforts to implement commitments on greenhouse gas emission reduction, carbon neutrality; and proposed solutions to mobilize resources for green transformation, green emissions reduction such as credit guarantee mechanisms, green finance, public-private partnerships, support for small and medium enterprises, diversification of the power grid, etc. At the discussion session, a number of partners also announced support packages for green transformation, in which Korea committed to continue to provide financial support in 2025 for P4G projects.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the sharing, ideas, and enthusiastic and profound proposals of the delegates. The Prime Minister believes that developing science, technology and innovation must truly be the key to green transformation and digital transformation.
On April 17, the P4G Summit focused on the Minister's discussion sessions: Session 1: Financial innovation and capital mobilization strategy for global green growth; Session 2: Green Revolution 4.0: Journey to convert food systems for sustainable era; Session 3: Technology to create a breakthrough in green conversion and sustainable development in the intelligent era; Session 4: Investing in people - creating a team for future economy; Session 5: Innovation solutions in energy conversion efficient and sustainable.
The conference's program on April 17 also includes: Dialogue between leaders and businesses: Public-private partnership to promote innovation and sustainability and the conference closing ceremony. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to attend the dialogue session and the closing ceremony of the conference.
