On December 15, 2025, at the Government Office, the National Border Committee, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary (1975 - 2025) and receive the First Class Labor Medal. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the National Border Committee, reported on the work of the territorial border over 50 years of construction and development.
The National Border Committee has achieved many achievements, creating important milestones of strategic significance in gradually creating a peaceful, stable, friendly and cooperative border with neighboring countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the efforts and outstanding achievements of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Border Committee over the past 50 years.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the National Border Committee is a silent soldier, devoting its heart and intelligence day and night, pioneering on diplomatic, legal, public and field fronts.
Reviewing lessons learned in the work of territorial borders, the Prime Minister continued to highlight the role of closely following the Party's instructions to achieve the highest goal of protecting independence, unity and territorial integrity; especially paying attention to the interest in investing in border areas that are at least equal to or higher than domestically.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the National Border Committee to thoroughly grasp and implement the "3 Kien" motto, which is to be determined in fighting for independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity; steadfastly apply legal and technical factors; persist in cooperation and dialogue in resolving disagreements, seeking fundamental, long-term solutions, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national development.
Recognizing the unit's great contributions, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the First Class Labor Medal to the National Border Committee.
On behalf of the collective leadership and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs accepted the comprehensive and profound instructions of the Prime Minister.
Comrade Le Hoai Trung affirmed that to achieve glorious results in the past 50 years, the National Border Committee has always received the attention and close direction of the Party and State leaders and the close coordination of departments, ministries, branches, localities, and the great contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants, and workers in border and territorial work.
Faced with rapid, complex and unpredictable developments in the world and the region. In the coming time, the National Border Committee will continue to promote the glorious tradition, thoroughly grasp the direction of the Party and State, work with all its might for the goal of firmly protecting territorial sovereignty, legitimate and legal rights and interests of Vietnam, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, creating favorable conditions to bring the country firmly into a new era, an era of national growth.
