The Prime Minister decided to dissolve the Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of the Land Law and developing the draft Land Law (amended) from July 21.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1572/QD-TTg dated July 21, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the dissolution of the Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of the Land Law and developing a draft Land Law (amended).

Decision No. 1572/QD-TTg on the dissolution of inter-sectoral coordination established by the Prime Minister: The Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of the Land Law and developing the Land Law project (amended) was established in Decision No. 1188/QD-TTg dated August 4, 2020 and consolidated in Decision No. 857/QD-TTg dated July 19, 2022 of the Prime Minister.

Decision No. 1572/QD-TTg takes effect from July 21, 2025.

Previously, on August 4, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1188/QD-TTg to establish a Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of the Land Law and develop a draft of the Land Law (amended).

The Steering Committee has the function of advising and assisting the Prime Minister: Directing ministries, branches and localities to organize the implementation of the implementation of the Land Law and develop the draft Land Law (amended); urging, guiding and inspecting ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to summarize the implementation of the Land Law.

At the same time, organize a summary and evaluation of the implementation of the Land Law, develop a summary report to report to the Prime Minister; direct the development of the Land Law (amended) project according to the requirements of the Central Executive Committee and the National Assembly and perform other tasks assigned and directed by the Government and the Prime Minister.

On January 18, 2024, the National Assembly passed the Land Law (amended) or the 2024 Land Law, consisting of 16 chapters and 260 Articles, amending and supplementing 180/212 articles of the 2013 Land Law and adding newly 78 Articles. The 2024 Land Law takes effect from August 1, 2024.
