According to VNA, at 11:40 p.m. local time (22:40 a.m. Hanoi time) on May 24, the plane carrying Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Kuala Lumpur, starting an official visit to Malaysia and attending the 46th ASEAN Summit and related Summits in Kuala Lumpur from May 24-28 at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his wife.
Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and the Vietnamese delegation at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Malaysia were Minister of National Solidarity Aaron ago Dagang - Minister accompanying the Prime Minister; Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato' Tan Yang Thai; Deputy Director of the Department of ceremony, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Representative of the Prime Minister's Office; Prime Minister and his wife's communications staff.
On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Dinh Ngoc Linh; officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.

Malaysian friends spread the red carpet with two rows of honor guards from both sides and boarded a plane to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife.
During this working trip, along with an official visit to Malaysia - the country holding the position of ASEAN Chair 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend conferences such as the 46th ASEAN Summit; the 2nd ASEAN - Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit; ASEAN-GCC and China Summit.
At the same time, the Prime Minister will also have many other important bilateral and multilateral activities; attend many related forums and conferences.
During his visit to Malaysia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will hold talks and meetings with senior leaders of the host country such as the Prime Minister, President of the Senate, and President of the House of Representatives of Malaysia.
The two sides will discuss and agree on major orientations and specific measures to implement the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. The visit affirms Vietnam's consistent policy of always attaching importance to relations with neighboring countries and ASEAN, including Malaysia.
Through these activities, Vietnam affirms its support for Malaysia in successfully asserting the position of ASEAN Chair 2025; at the same time, it continues to support the building of a "Sustainable and Inclusive" ASEAN Community, united, strong, and strengthening ASEAN's central role in the regional structure.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip also demonstrates the proactiveness and active participation in Vietnam's multilateral organizations, mechanisms and forums, contributing opinions, participating in common activities and fulfilling responsibilities for the goals of peace, stability, cooperation and development of each country, in the region and the world.
