On the afternoon of August 19, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam worked with the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025 (Central Steering Committee) on the progress and implementation results of preparing to organize the 80th Anniversary, parade, and parade for the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Attending the meeting were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Head of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025 (Central Steering Committee); Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia - Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee.
Also attending the meeting were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of relevant ministries, departments, branches and Hanoi City.

Speaking at the working session, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the preparation and organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day on September 2 must be carried out with a proactive spirit, high responsibility, and smooth coordination of all levels and sectors from the central to local levels to demonstrate the stature and significance of the event and the position of the country, thereby educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, self-respectful, and nationally proud; affirming the determination of the entire Party, people, and army in the cause of building, defending the Fatherland and developing the country.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that relevant agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp the direction of the Central Steering Committee, closely follow the overall Project of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), plan to organize celebrations, parades, parades... to effectively implement work; strengthen close and smooth coordination between agencies and units to ensure solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus and key points.
The General Secretary noted that the organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 must be truly thoughtful and ensure security and safety...
The organization and reception of delegates, tourists and people must be enthusiastic and thoughtful; it is necessary to pay attention to giving priority to guest delegates who are people with revolutionary contributions, to the country and the elderly, policy beneficiaries... This is also an opportunity to express the respect and gratitude of the Party and State to those who have contributed to the country.
The General Secretary also emphasized that during this time, especially during peak days, the number of domestic and foreign tourists flocking to Hanoi will be very large. The demand for food, accommodation, rest, travel and attending activities to celebrate National Day will be huge, so the Central Steering Committee for major holidays and Hanoi City need to prepare many solutions to welcome, ensuring that it is truly thoughtful, smooth and proactive in preparing plans if the weather is unfavorable.
General Secretary To Lam requested that in addition to being thoughtful and respectful in welcoming delegates, guests and people, security and order work also needs to be guaranteed absolute safety so that activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country can truly be a national festival.
