On April 28, during a visit and working session in Vietnam, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and the high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State visited and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien Special National Monument (Nam Dan District).
Attending the incense offering ceremony were senior leaders of Laos and Vietnam, representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches, Nghe An province, and Ha Tinh province.

In a solemn atmosphere, the General Secretary and President of Laos and the delegation expressed their deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the Hero of National Liberation of Vietnam, a world cultural figure, who sacrificed his whole life for the cause of national liberation, fighting for the peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people and progressive humanity.
The event took place in Vietnam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, towards 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the more affirming the longevity of the special solidarity of Vietnam - Laos, Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane, Prince Souphanouvong.
Promoting that precious tradition, under the leadership of the two Parties and two States, the Vietnam - Laos relationship has been increasingly consolidated and comprehensively developed, becoming an invaluable, exemplary, and rare asset in international relations.
