On the afternoon of January 6, General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, led a Central working delegation to visit and work at Army Corps 34 and Army Corps 15.
Also participating in the working delegation were Politburo members and leaders of central departments, ministries and branches.
Speaking at the working session with the 34th Army Corps, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that, implementing Resolution No. 05 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 230 of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the 2021-2030 period and the following years, the Ministry of National Defense decided to establish the 34th Army Corps on the basis of the 3rd and 4th Army Corps.
This is a major policy and event of great significance, demonstrating the thinking and strategic vision of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, marking the new maturity and development of our army.
The 3rd and 4th Corps are units with a long tradition, trained in revolutionary war and achieved many outstanding feats.
At Corps 15, General Secretary To Lam was pleased with the results and achievements of the unit, and affirmed that Corps 15 is one of the first economic-defense unit models in the strategic area.
Corps 15 ensures jobs, stability and gradually improves income and living standards for nearly 15,000 workers, of whom nearly 60% are ethnic minorities.
General Secretary To Lam requested that the 15th Corps continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's military and defense viewpoints and guidelines; perform well the functions of a combat army, a working army, and a production labor army in the new period; take care of job creation and increase income for cadres, soldiers, workers and people in the area.
In the exciting atmosphere of the first days of the new year 2025, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts and sent wishes of health, happiness, and new year of victory to all officers, soldiers, and workers of Army Corps 34 and Army Corps 15.
General Secretary To Lam also presented gifts to policy families, meritorious people, village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people.
