According to the National Assembly Electronic Information Portal, at noon on July 31, at the National Assembly House, General Secretary To Lam attended a meeting with the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province through the periods on the occasion of the Delegation organizing the "From Source" Program, towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).
Also attending the meeting were: Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; members of the Party Central Committee: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh; General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy.
Also attending were Deputy Head of the delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province Nguyen Van Huy; representatives of a number of agencies of the National Assembly; National Assembly deputies from term V to term XV of the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province.

Towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam, the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province organized many meaningful activities, such as visiting the National Assembly Standing Committee Relic Site and some historical sites in Tuyen Quang province, visiting Hanoi Capital and the National Assembly House.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh stated that, towards the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the National Assembly has coordinated with agencies to organize many meaningful activities.
In the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam, the National Assembly has 27 activities and has so far successfully organized many activities.
Including the editing of many books and the completion of the publishing of books by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the title "Vietnam National Assembly in the process of innovation to meet the requirements of building and perfecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam's rule of law state".
At the same time, successfully organized the Campaign for Song Composition Contest on the National Assembly and People's Councils; completed the Special Ministry-level Scientific Subject "Vietnam National Assembly - 80 years of building, innovating and developing"; organized an online interactive multiple-choice contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam...

Affirming that "Return to the Source" is one of the important activities in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh said that the National Assembly and the Government have coordinated to implement programs and meetings, and assigned agencies to coordinate with Tuyen Quang province to organize National Assembly deputies through the periods to visit historical sites in the province, including relics associated with the development process of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that this meeting of the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province was also the first time that the General Secretary and National Assembly Chairman attended, showing the deep affection of the General Secretary and National Assembly Chairman for generations of National Assembly members of Hung Yen province.
At the meeting, Deputy Head of the delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province Nguyen Van Huy said that during the journey to the source, the delegation visited the Tan Trao Special National Monument in Tuyen Quang province.
Here, the delegation offered incense to express gratitude for the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and his predecessors to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. The delegation presented 6 gifts to build houses of gratitude, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people in Tuyen Quang province with a value of 360 million VND.
