On the afternoon of February 26, in Hanoi, General Secretary To Lam visited and wished Tet to the Investigation Security Department (Ministry of Public Security).
Also attending were Politburo members: General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc.
Sending best New Year wishes to officers and soldiers of the Investigation Security Department, the General Secretary acknowledged the achievements that the People's Police force and the Investigation Security force have achieved in the past and in 2025.
Emphasizing that the tasks set for the Investigation Security Department in 2026 and the following years are very large, the General Secretary noted that officers and soldiers of the Investigation Security Department of the Ministry of Public Security continue to show absolute loyalty to the Party, State and people, excellently complete the task of maintaining political stability and social safety; affirming their proactive role in creating and establishing favorable conditions to effectively implement the tasks of building and protecting the Fatherland.
The Department needs to set an example in strongly spreading, selecting correctly, and quickly and effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and strategic Resolutions of the Party, the Resolution of the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, the Resolution of Party Committee A09 for the 2025-2030 term, and at the same time focus on identifying, organizing detection, fighting and investigating, resolutely and strictly handling acts of propaganda, distortion, and sabotage of Party Resolutions," General Secretary To Lam emphasized.
The General Secretary also requested that the Investigation Security Department proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, not to be passive in any situation; correctly recognize and correctly resolve national security issues, associated with the interests of the country; early identify, organize investigations, and strictly handle acts of propaganda, distortion, and sabotage of the Party's guidelines and policies;
Along with that, strongly shift to prevention, promptly detect and propose remedies for loopholes and shortcomings in state management, minimize the causes and conditions for crime to arise, strictly handle violations, towards building a society of "royalty to the law", discipline, order, fairness, democracy, and civilization.
