At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his wife, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, paid a state visit to China from July 14-17.
On the morning of April 15, the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, was solemnly held at the Great Hall of the People according to the highest ritual for heads of state.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife chaired the welcoming ceremony.
The convoy carrying General Secretary and President Su Lin and his wife entered the Great Hall of the People. General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife warmly welcomed General Secretary and President Su Lin and his wife. The two sides introduced officials present at the welcoming ceremony.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President To Lam stepped onto the podium of honor. The Military Band sang the Vietnamese and Chinese national anthems, and simultaneously fired 21 rounds of cannons to welcome.
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President Su Lin review the honor guard of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
After that, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and General Secretary and President Su Lin passed by the Army Band and waved to the children holding flags and flowers to greet them.
Next, the two General Secretaries, the President and the two spouses took a group photo in front of the National Flag and Party Flags of the two countries.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping led the high-level delegation of China and General Secretary and President To Lam led the high-level delegation of Vietnam to hold talks.
Over the past time, Vietnam-China relations have maintained positive development momentum, with many clear and relatively comprehensive progress.
The visit is a very important occasion to elevate strategic cohesion and establish a new height for the relations between the two Parties and the two countries.
The highest leaders of the two Parties and two countries will jointly identify new orientations and new breakthroughs in economic - trade, investment and tourism cooperation, supply chain cooperation, production chain, education and training, science and technology, and strive to jointly realize the goals and aspirations of each country's development.
