On June 14, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen signed a document guiding a number of contents on the preparation for the organization and operation of the newly established commune-level People's Committee after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.
The document helps proactively in the implementation of tasks and work in arranging commune-level administrative units to prepare and complete process steps and work in direction and operation activities... ensuring smoothness, continuity, speed, effectiveness, and efficiency, best serving the people so that July 1 can officially go into operation.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has set a series of tasks that need to be implemented.

Notable is the work of establishing the organization of professional agencies, public service units, arranging a team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees at the People's Committees of communes and wards, such as: arranging civil servants under the current district-level People's Committees to work at the commune-level People's Committees; transferring civil servants from one commune-level administrative unit to another commune-level administrative unit; preparing the dissolutions and termination of the activities of current district-level public service units; establishing public service units under the new commune-level People's Committees and wards. This task will be completed before June 25.
The task of statistics, inventorying, digitizing records and documents, carrying out the handover and receipt between the old administrative unit and the new administrative unit, must be completed no later than June 30.
The task of recovering old seals, engraving, registering and using new seals must be completed no later than June 25.
The People's Committees of districts and towns must complete the arrangement of headquarters and offices of agencies and organizations under the new commune and ward administrative units by June 18 at the latest.

Regarding the organization and operation of the new People's Committee and ward, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City assigned the People's Committees of districts and towns to lead and direct relevant specialized agencies and communes to urgently prepare work to submit to the competent authority to complete the establishment of a system of specialized agencies and public service units under the new commune-level administrative units in accordance with the regulations of the Central Government.
Regarding implementation, the Director of the Department of Home Affairs monitors, urges, and guides localities in the process of organizing activities of the People's Committees of communes and wards; regularly updates, advises, and supplements plans and solutions to ensure compliance with the orientation, regulations, and direction of the Central Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and in accordance with the actual situation.
The Department of Home Affairs synthesizes and reports the implementation results as a basis for evaluating and drawing experience from the organization of implementation in new communes and wards when they come into official operation.
