On the afternoon of June 9, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee held a meeting of the City Party Committee to review and give opinions on draft projects and some contents under its authority.
At the conference, 100% of the Executive Committee members agreed with the draft project. These are the draft Project to establish the Can Tho City Party Committee on the basis of merging the Can Tho City Party Committee, the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee and the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; the draft Project to reorganize and streamline the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to the Can Tho City tasks (city and grassroots levels).

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh informed that the Standing Committee has just given opinions on key personnel of 32 communes and wards (of Can Tho City) and the plan of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of 32 communes and wards.
Tomorrow, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee will continue to give opinions to the Inspection Committees of 32 communes and wards.
Next, the departments and offices of the commune and ward will be arranged, ensuring the positions will be trained on June 14 and 15.
It is expected that on June 18, the end of the district, commune and ward party committees will be announced; the establishment of new commune and ward party committees will be announced and the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and key positions will be announced.
After the announcement was completed, the communes and wards of Can Tho City began a trial operation. It is expected to officially operate on July 1.
Mr. Binh requested the inspection units to ensure facilities, equipment, and means to ensure that the new communes and wards are put into operation.
