On March 27, the National Assembly Office issued press release No. 610/VPQH-TTTV on the National Election Council confirming sufficient qualifications for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term.
Accordingly, on March 27, 2026, based on the provisions of the Constitution, laws and related documents, the National Election Council issued Resolution No. 238/NQ-HDBCQG confirming that 500 people who were elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term are qualified as National Assembly deputies according to the provisions of law.
The specific list according to Resolution No. 232/NQ-HDBCQG dated March 21, 2026 of the National Election Council announces the election results and the list of people elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term (see here).
According to a report by the National Election Council, in the 16th National Assembly election, the proportion of National Assembly deputies expected to be full-time elected was the highest ever, reaching 40% (1.4% higher than the 15th National Assembly term; 5.5% higher than the 14th National Assembly term; 7.2% higher than the 13th National Assembly term; 10.6% higher than the 12th National Assembly term).
With the above results, it shows that the composition of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term has reduced concurrent deputies working in executive and judicial agencies, and increased the proportion of full-time deputies.
The proportion of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term with postgraduate qualifications reached 83.6%, higher than the 15th National Assembly term (78.55%).
