Building a sustainable Vietnam - China future from the younger generation

Attending and giving a speech at the program "Meeting Vietnamese and Chinese students in different periods" on March 20, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the leaders of the two Parties and countries pay special attention and hope that the younger generation will inherit the tradition of friendship, bringing a strong vitality and a bright future to the Vietnam - China relationship.

Also attending the meeting program held at the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace (Hanoi) on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the "Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025" were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang.

On the Chinese side were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Vietnam He Wei, his wife and representatives of the Chinese Friendship Committee; the Chinese community in Vietnam; about 800 delegates from Vietnam and China.

Speaking at the program, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the significance of the program "Meeting Vietnamese - Chinese students in different periods", an opportunity to share about the Vietnam - China friendship, especially conveying the message about the role and determination of students of the two countries through different periods in promoting the vision for a new era of development of each Party, each country and the brotherhood between the two peoples.

pleased to see that the youth of the two countries are promoting their role as "young cultural ambassadors", being bridges connecting the friendship between the two countries, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the young generation has always received special attention from the leaders of the two Parties and two countries and hoped to inherit the tradition of friendship, bringing a strong vitality and a bright future to the Vietnam - China relationship. In reality, the affection between the people of the two countries has been developed and maintained by the younger generation. The younger generations of the two countries are the core force in developing the Vietnam - China relationship well, truly effectively, and sustainably in the long term.

General Secretary To Lam has given some suggestions to the youth and young generation of the two countries to raise their deep awareness of the long history, important significance and strategic height of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries. The youth of the two countries have the honor and responsibility to continue, bringing the relationship between the two socialist neighbors to a new height. The youth of the two countries need to strive to study and practice, constantly strive to master science and technology to make practical and creative contributions to the industrialization, modernization, and development of new productive forces of each country, contributing to strengthening the material foundation of the bilateral relationship.

The General Secretary suggested that Vietnamese students and trainees should take advantage of the precious opportunity to study and research in China to absorb the quintessence of Chinese civilization and the achievements and experiences in socio-economic development, advanced science and technology of China; and welcome more and more young Chinese people to Vietnam to study and learn about Vietnamese and Vietnamese culture, as well as seek investment, business and development opportunities.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that agencies and organizations of the two countries continue to closely follow the high-level common perception of strengthening and innovating propaganda and education for the young generations of the two countries about the traditional friendship between the two Parties and the two countries and the development achievements of each country, thereby enhancing the pride and confidence of young people.
