Attending the Congress were comrade Phan Van Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Congress was attended by representatives of the following agencies: the Office of the President, the Government Office, and the Ministry of Finance. On the side of the leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group, there were comrade Dang Hoang An - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of the Group. In addition, there are comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Members, the Board of General Directors, leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and the Corporations and member units under the Group, and especially the presence of 77 typical advanced individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2020-2025 period, contributing to the development of the Vietnam National Power Group. The Congress summarized the emulation movements for the period 2020-2025 and set out directions and tasks for the period 2025-2030; is a vivid testament to the spirit of "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must compete" of President Ho Chi Minh, affirming the key role of more than 95,000 cadres and employees of the entire Group in excellently completing the key tasks assigned by the Party and the Government.
Workers - The heart of all success
The 2020-2025 period is a challenging journey but also marks the outstanding achievements of EVN, with the core being the strength of solidarity and the continuous efforts of the team of staff and workers. With courage, dedication and the spirit of overcoming difficulties, EVN workers have made an important contribution to the safe operation and stability of the power system, ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's lives.
They are workers who work day and night to closely follow the construction site, speeding up the progress of key power source and grid projects, with the total investment value of EVN in the 2020-2025 period reaching VND 513,945 billion. This effort has brought many projects to the finish line on schedule and ahead of schedule, typically the completion of the 500kV Line 3 Project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi - a miracle and pride of the Vietnamese electricity industry. In addition, the Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project has marked the completion and ahead of schedule, especially the second plant, which was completed 18 days ahead of schedule.
In business and customer service, EVN employees have promoted the application of information technology and digital transformation to improve service quality, providing 100% online electricity services at level 4 at the National Public Service Portal. This not only meets the increasing needs of customers but also actively contributes to the National Digital Transformation Project.
Emulation movements - Strong endogenous driving force
Patriotic emulation movements in EVN are not only un formal but also truly become an endogenous driving force, promoting a sense of responsibility, creativity and solidarity throughout the Group. Over the past 5 years, many meaningful emulation movements have been widely implemented, bringing practical results:
The movement "The whole country is united, joins hands, and competes unitedly to prevent, combat and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic": Encourage the spirit of mutual love and support, ensure internal security, help EVN overcome the difficult period, carry out the "double goal" of both effectively fighting the epidemic and ensuring continuous power supply.
"10 thousand initiatives" movement: Responding to the "1 million initiatives" program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the movement has received strong response, exceeding the set target by 129%, contributing to improving production and business efficiency and labor productivity. Many useful solutions and initiatives have been applied, including 240 solutions/ initiatives recognized at EVN level.
The movement "Reducing incidents, ensuring readiness to generate coal-fired thermal power plants" was implemented in the 2023-2024 dry season, the movement has ensured coal-fired thermal power plants to operate safely and stably, meeting the mobilization needs of the National Power System, contributing to providing enough electricity for socio-economic development and people's lives.
The movement "Active learning in EVN, building EVN into a learning organization": Promoting the spirit of learning anytime, anywhere, towards the goal of successful digital transformation and building EVN into a digital enterprise, with an innovative and modern corporate culture.
Linked emulation movements on key national projects: Notable is the movement "Construction of the 500kV Line 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi" with the goal of "5th best": "Fastest progress; Best quality; Best safety - economy; Most creativity and Best care for life". This movement has mobilized about 20,000 workers to participate, creating an urgent and active working atmosphere, contributing to the completion of the project on schedule according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
These emulation movements not only improve labor productivity but also promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and dedication of all staff, helping EVN overcome difficulties, ensure continuous power supply and complete many key projects.
