In the context of increasingly severe climate change, depleted resources and countries simultaneously promoting sustainable development goals, hydrogen, especially green hydrogen, is seen as a strategic solution to the energy security and emission reduction problem. Vietnam's hydrogen energy development strategy to 2030, vision to 2050, follows a unified viewpoint with the national energy planning orientation, is dynamic and open to adapt to the context and energy transition situation in the world, focusing on developing hydrogen energy according to the value chain including production, storage, transportation, distribution and use, contributing to ensuring energy security and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting the development of a green economy, circular economy and hydrogen economy.
In order to discuss issues on promoting the role of state-owned enterprises, and at the same time strongly attract investment in hydrogen energy industry development from non-state (private and international) types of enterprises; share experiences, knowledge, strengthen international cooperation in developing the hydrogen energy ecosystem; and update the most advanced technology trends on hydrogen production, storage and application; opening up opportunities for businesses to access green credit sources, climate credit, green bonds,... Vietnam Clean Energy Magazine in coordination with the Institute of Brand Strategy and Competition organizes the "Hydrogen Energy Forum and the future of zero-emission industry" at 08:00 on July 29, 2026 in Hanoi. The program is pleased to have the companionship of Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam).

Hydrogen, especially green hydrogen, is being considered one of the pillars of the future energy system, playing an important role in the decarbonization process for industries, transportation and electricity production. The development of the hydrogen value chain not only contributes to ensuring energy security but also opens up opportunities to attract investment, promote technological innovation, improve the competitiveness of the economy and implement Vietnam's commitment to achieve "zero" net emissions by 2050.
The forum gathered the participation of representatives of ministries, departments, central and local branches; international organizations; leading experts in the fields of energy, environment and industry; along with a large number of businesses, investors and financial institutions at home and abroad.
At the Forum, delegates will focus on exchanging key contents such as: hydrogen development trends in the world; policies and orientations for hydrogen development in Vietnam; hydrogen production, storage, transportation and use technology; hydrogen value chain development; investment opportunities, international cooperation and solutions to promote the transition to a zero-emission industry.
Through presentations and seminars, the Forum expects to create practical recommendations to improve mechanisms and policies; promote connections between management agencies, businesses, investors and international organizations; and expand cooperation opportunities in research, technology transfer and hydrogen project development in Vietnam.
