Two months after merging administrative boundaries, EVNHCMC has ensured safe and stable power supply for a super urban area of more than 14 million people. One of the tasks that EVNHCMC pays special attention to is answering customers' opinions. In August 2025, EVNHCMC identified 8 customer complaints about electricity bills on social networks and promptly contacted, checked and answered questions.
For example, a customer in the area served by Binh Duong Power Company posted on social media questioning the fact that the electricity bills for July and August were "same". EVNHCMC has analyzed the electricity consumption chart of customers in 2 months and found that the daily electricity consumption in July and August was different, but the total electricity consumption in the two months was the same, so the electricity bill was the same. This coincidence is random and the customer understood after being explained in detail.

Or a customer served by An Phu Dong Power Company also raised questions to the Electricity Customer Care Center for more than 3.6 million VND in July 2025 while in June 2025, it was only 2.8 million VND, although the demand and equipment used for electricity remained unchanged.
Through contact and research, it is known that this household does business online, often uses a large number of lighting to film for sales, has 2 air conditioners and some fans that are continuously used for many hours a day. The house also has many large-capacity electrical appliances such as water pumps, TVs, electric stoves, refrigerators, etc.
In July 2025, customers used 1,079 kWh of electricity, 229 kWh more than in June and some days in July were continuously hot, leading to electrical equipment, especially cooling equipment, consuming more electricity. After being analyzed and consulted, customers were also satisfied.
Mr. Bui Trung Kien - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC - said that the electricity output used for domestic purposes in Ho Chi Minh City in August 2025 alone was 1.69 billion kWh, down 1.15% compared to July (1.71 billion kWh). Increased or decreased household electricity consumption during the month is normal, because it depends on the weather, number of users, time of use, equipment used, user behavior, etc.

reality also shows that many information posted on social networks about increased electricity bills are mostly edited and deleted to conceal information, conceal the information of the poster, or the poster uses AI technology to create an unreal event of increased electricity bills. Or sometimes it is inaccurate information but shared by many people on groups, so the electricity industry cannot determine the exact customer information to contact and answer.
EVNHCMC representative also recommends that people be cautious and carefully verify information before posting or sharing on social networks to avoid posting inaccurate information, causing public confusion, affecting security and order in the locality. At the same time, download the EVNHCMC App to track your daily electricity consumption.
