EVNHCMC requires heads of units to seriously implement the unit's disaster prevention and search and rescue plan. Quit the subjective and negligent thinking towards natural disaster prevention, control and response.
Promoting the "4 on-site" motto and the "3 readiness" principle in fully preparing human resources, means, equipment, and materials.
Units must organize inspections, reviews, and promptly overcome possible risks of unsafety and aesthetics. In particular, EVNHCMC noted that some specific areas need to be implemented such as: undergrounding areas of the power grid, areas with intersections between the above-ground and underground grids, temporary gaps during the construction process, branches of power lines/cables connecting the runway to people's houses...

Along with that, the units need to review the plan to handle incidents, electrical safety solutions, check the grid to promptly cut off electricity to ensure the safety of people when the rain is heavy, flooded, trees fall, pouring into lines, electrical cabinets in areas that can be flooded, high tide, river, coastal, dike area. Cut electricity immediately in deep flooding areas, flooded due to flood discharge, damaged grid, electric leakage incident, broken branch of electric wire across the road/alley, ...
EVNHCMC directs units during the rainy and stormy season to ensure adequate components and quantity of duty, develop a plan to mobilize increased resources to promptly handle situations caused by natural disasters to ensure safety, ensure continuous power supply at different times of the day. The High Voltage Grid Company will re-establish duty for unmanned transformer stations at risk of being affected when storms make landfall.
EVNHCMC has also requested to organize a natural disaster prevention and search and rescue drill in 2025. In particular, pay attention to key points, possible unexpected situations such as fire prevention and fighting, fallen trees, high tides of flooding, thunderstorms, landslides, heavy rain and strong winds, isolated areas and handling situations for remote control centers and unmanned transformer stations.

EVNHCMC recommends that people should not use electrical equipment when their hands are wet or standing in flooded water. It is necessary to check and maintain the electrical system in the house before the rainy season. Plug holes near the floor need to be raised, and families should be equipped with anti-leakage devices (RCD/ELCB) to protect the entire system.
When detecting broken power lines, leaking power poles or unusual lighting phenomena, people should not handle it themselves but need to keep a minimum safety distance of 5 m and immediately report to EVNHCMC's hotline 1900545454 for timely technical support.
