On December 3, at EVNHCMC headquarters, EVNHCMC coordinated with Sweden Trading to organize a working session on "Flexible and sustainable power system - Technology secret from Sweden".
The Swedish delegation was led by Marcus Persson - Swedish Trade Counselor in Vietnam, National Director of Business Sweden - with the participation of representatives of congresses Hitachi Energy, AFRY, Comsys, Unipower and Nord Pool.
On the side of EVNHCMC, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - General Director of EVNHCMC and Mr. Luan Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC, along with representatives of functional departments, the Corporation's Office, power companies and specialized units at the connecting points.
Mr. Luan Quoc Hung emphasized that the Vietnamese electricity industry is entering a period of strong transition according to the Power Plan VIII, with the requirement to improve the flexibility of the power grid and increase the integration of renewable energy.

For Ho Chi Minh City, an urban area with a high growth rate of load, EVNHCMC is promoting digital transformation, developing a smart grid and modernizing management and operation. Mr. Hung said that Sweden's solutions, from mobile transformer stations, grid automation, asset monitoring to BESS energy storage systems, are all in line with EVNHCMC's practical needs and open up many practical cooperation opportunities.
Mr. Marcus Persson highly appreciated Vietnam's energy transition process, and emphasized the similarities in sustainable development goals between the two countries. Mr. Marcus Persson said that Sweden is a country with more than 98% of its electricity coming from renewable and nuclear sources, with a lot of experience in modernizing the power grid, improving the stability and adaptability of the system.
Mr. Marcus Persson hopes that the working session will promote strategic cooperation directions in Vietnam's green transformation process.

At the program, Swedish enterprises presented many advanced power technology solutions. Hitachi Energy introduces a model of mobile transformer stations for emergency response and temporary power supply. AFRY shares its experience in integrating the BESS storage system with a smart grid and a competitive electricity market model.
