In November 2024, units of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) continued to boost production, carry out the emulation movement of 90 days and nights of peak production labor in the fourth quarter of 2024, and strive to achieve production and business plan targets.
With the weather in November being favorable for coal mining activities, mining output has changed positively; coal demand has increased.
Raw coal production reached 3.42 million tons, consumption 4.56 million tons; excavated soil reached 14.59 million m3; tunnel excavation reached 25,076 meters.
Converted alumina mineral production reached 110 thousand tons, consumption 127 thousand tons. Copper concentrate production reached 7.85 thousand tons, production of 2,620 tons of copper plate; 708 tons of zinc ingots; 19,283 thousand tons of steel billets.
In addition, 847 million kWh of electricity was produced and consumed; 6,800 tons of explosives were produced and 9,600 tons were consumed. 2,340 tons of Ammonium Nitrate were produced and 8,400 tons were consumed.
Completing basic targets according to the operating plan brought TKV's total revenue in November to 15,435 billion VND.
Thus, the total revenue of the Group in 11 months is estimated at 150,157 billion VND. Commercial coal reached 45.33 million tons; raw coal production reached 34.17 million tons; excavated soil and rock reached 133.09 million m3. Total tunnel meters reached 244,053 meters.
Consumed 42.44 million tons of coal, of which 36.33 million tons were supplied to households for electricity. Produced 1.269 million tons of converted alumina, consumed 1.3 million tons. Copper concentrate 100.83 thousand tons, copper plate produced 27,729 tons, consumed 27,169 tons, zinc ingots 8,418 tons, steel billets 154.77 thousand tons. Produced 8.591 billion kWh. Industrial chemical and explosives indicators were basically completed.
Entering December 2024, with favorable forecasts for coal and mineral exploitation activities, coal demand showing signs of recovery and growth, especially coal demand for power plants, TKV will direct decisively, focus all resources to operate all production and business activities, striving to complete the 2024 plan.
TKV implemented the December production and business plan with several key targets. Producing 4.34 million tons of raw coal; 13 million m3 of stripped soil; 27.2 thousand meters of tunnel; consuming 4.06 million tons of coal...
It is expected that Alumina products will reach 121 thousand tons, copper concentrate will reach 5.83 thousand tons, copper plate will reach 2.27 thousand tons... The target is to produce 944 million kWh of electricity, 6.87 thousand tons of explosives, 4.5 thousand tons of Ammonium Nitrate...
To complete the set targets, TKV will continue to direct coal production units to proactively and flexibly focus on boosting production, maximizing resources and equipment capacity.
TKV Group will also encourage workers to compete in production with high spirit to increase labor productivity, compensate for the shortage of output when production has to stop due to the impact of storms, and strive to complete the assigned plan targets in 2024.
