Domestic pepper prices: Coated with green
As of 11:30 today (December 25), domestic pepper prices have increased simultaneously, averaging VND 149,800/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 149,000 - 150,500 VND/kg.
Provinces and cities recorded an increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg in the regions, specifically as follows:
Despite an increase of VND 1,000/kg compared to yesterday, Gia Lai province is still the area with the lowest price of VND 149,000/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai are both listed at VND 149,500/kg, up VND 1,000/kg and VND 500/kg respectively.
Similarly, Lam Dong and Dak Lak are anchored at 150,500 VND/kg, both increasing by 500 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Unstable in the whole region
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in all regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - has been flat after a series of days of price declines. Currently, these two items are traded between 6,802 - 9,167 USD/ton (equivalent to 179,594 VND/kg - 242,037 VND/kg).
Similarly, the Brazilian market remained unchanged at 6,075 USD/ton (about 160,399 VND/kg). In the same direction, black and white pepper traded at 12,000 USD/ton and 9,000 USD/ton.
Notably, in the Vietnamese pepper export market, the price of 500 g/l and 550 g/l black pepper remains in the price range of 6,500 - 6,700 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices are currently at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,228 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
At the international exchange, the price of Vietnamese pepper and other producing countries remains stable at a high level, especially standard black pepper and white pepper. This trend helps maintain domestic prices, although domestic transaction volume is slower due to year-end storage demand.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam exported more than 222,000 tons of pepper. Although output decreased by 5.5%, the value reached 1.5 billion USD, up more than 23% over the same period last year.
