Clause 2, Article 7, Decree 327/2026/ND-CP stipulates the prevention and handling of information and acts of using information technology, computer networks, telecommunications networks, and electronic means infringing upon national security, order, and social safety in cyberspace (effective from August 19), stipulating the requirement to remove, access and remove illegal information or false information, fake news in cyberspace infringing upon national security, order, social safety, legitimate rights and interests of agencies, organizations, and individuals in the following cases:

a) Information with false, distorted content, affecting the normal operation or prestige of agencies, organizations, and people's government; insulting the honor, dignity, and privacy of individuals;

b) Information aimed at encouraging, mobilizing or seducing others to commit acts of infringing upon national security, social order and safety;

c) Information violating regulations on child protection in the online environment;

d) Information inciting obscenity, depravity, crime, superstition; violating fine customs and traditions;

e) Information that is threatening, inciting conflicts, divisions, and illegally attracting large gatherings of people, causing negative impacts on national security, social order and safety;

e) Fake and untrue information for the purpose of fraud and appropriation of property;

g) Other false or untrue information in the fields of finance, banking, commerce, investment, transportation, construction, science and technology, agriculture, forestry, fishery and other fields with content infringing upon national security, social order and safety;

h) In case the service provider or information system manager does not fulfill the request of the specialized network security force to remove violating information no later than 24 hours (for emergency situations it is 06 hours) or to prevent serious consequences from occurring, the specialized network security force is allowed to access and remove illegal information or false information, fake information in cyberspace that infringes upon national security, social order and safety, and the legitimate rights and interests of agencies, organizations, and individuals;

i) Other cases according to the decision of the specialized force protecting network security.

Thus, from August 19, 2026, illegal, untrue, and fake information in cyberspace that infringes upon national security, order, and social safety as above will be removed.
