Information collected and updated in the database on workers

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 318/2025/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Employment on labor registration and the labor market information system (effective from January 1, 2026) stipulates that data is collected, updated, and synchronized into the database on employees, including:

a) The information specified in Clause 1, Article 4 of this Decree is authenticated and exploited from the National Population Database;

b) Information specified in Clause 2, Article 4 of this Decree is extracted, selected, connected, and shared from specialized databases of the Ministry of Education and Training;

c) The information specified in Points a, c, d, Clause 3 and c, Clause 5, Article 4 of this Decree is extracted, selected, connected, and shared with data from specialized databases of the Ministry of Home Affairs;

d) The information specified in Point b, Clause 3, Article 4 of this Decree is connected and shared from the National Database on Business Registration and other relevant databases;

d) Information specified in Clause 4, Article 4 of this Decree is extracted, selected to connect, and share data from the national database on Insurance;

e) The information specified in Point a, Clause 5, Article 4 of this Decree is extracted, selected, connected, and shared data from databases managed by the Ministry of Health;

g) Information specified in Point b, Clause 5, Article 4 is extracted, selected, connected, and shared from databases managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment;

h) In case the information specified in Article 4 of this Decree cannot be collected according to the provisions of Points a, b, c, d, dd, e and g, Clause 2 of this Article, it must be connected and shared from the National General Database and other relevant data sources.

Thus, from January 1, 2026, the above information will be collected and updated in the database on workers.
