Clause 3, Article 3 of Decree No. 72/2020/ND-CP (effective from August 15, 2020), supplemented by Clause 1, Article 5 of Decree 220/2025/ND-CP effective from August 7, 2025, stipulates as follows:
3. Commune-level military commands, military commands of agencies, organizations, and commands self-defense units where there are no military commands of agencies and organizations for management:
a) The militia unit at its level;
b) Militia and Self-Defense Units organized by superiors, except for training and operation time.
c) Commune-level military commands manage military commands of agencies and organizations not falling under the provisions of Point a, Clause 1 of this Article.
Thus, with the supplemented regulation (Point c), compared with Point a, Clause 1, Article 3 of Decree 220/2025/ND-CP, from August 7, 2025, the Commune-level Military Command will manage the Military Command of an agency or organization not falling under the following cases:
The military command of agencies and organizations under enterprises with self-defense battalions; the military command of agencies and organizations under departments, branches, sectors and equivalents at the provincial level, the management board of industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech zones, and economic zones in the area.
