Cases of public property housing

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 1, Article 13 of the 2023 Housing Law stipulates that housing belonging to public property includes:

a) Public housing includes central public housing and local public housing according to the provisions of the law on housing;

b) Resettlement housing invested in and built by the State or purchased by commercial housing for resettlement according to the provisions of the law on housing but not yet resettled;

c) Social housing, housing for the People's Armed Forces invested in and built by the State to arrange for beneficiaries of social housing policies according to the provisions of the law on housing;

d) Housing not specified in Points a, b and c of this Clause is invested in construction with state budget capital or originates from state budget capital or is established and owned by the entire population according to the provisions of law during the periods and is being rented to households and individuals according to the provisions of the law on housing;

d) The house of another owner is converted to public ownership according to the provisions of law and is not subject to the provisions of Point d of this Clause.

Thus, the houses in the above cases are public assets.
