How much is the highest allowance per month for people with severe disabilities

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 6, Article 5 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates that a person with a severe disability is a subject subject of social protection receiving monthly social allowances.

Point e, Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates the monthly social allowance for people with disabilities as follows:

- Coefficient 2.0 for people with severe disabilities;

- Coefficient 2.5 for children with severe disabilities or the elderly who are severely disabled;

- Coefficient 1.5 for people with severe disabilities;

- Coefficient 2.0 for children with severe disabilities or the elderly who are severely disabled.

Article 1, Decree 76/2024/ND-CP stipulates that the standard level of social assistance applied from July 1, 2024 is VND 500,000/month.

Thus, the highest social allowance for people with severe disabilities is 1.5 x 500,000 VND/month = 750,000 VND/month.
